Elena Mars
Elena earned a B.F.A. in museum conservation with minors in chemistry and anthropology from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces in addition to a B.A. in occupational education from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales. She was a monuments conservation technician for the New York City parks and recreation department in addition to interning at New Mexico State University’s Kent Hall Museum. Elena was also in the Peace Corps stationed in Liberia, West Africa and traveled to Manisa, Turkey last summer to intern at the Kaymakçı archaeological site. This year, Elena is a third year objects conservation intern at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
