Lisa Ackerman
Lisa was digital asset manager and contract conservation technician at the Smithsonian National Museum for African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. before starting her graduate studies. She also had pre-program internships at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Brooklyn Museum of Art. Lisa earned a BA in Visual Arts from SUNY Empire State College in addition to a Visual Communications degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. This year, she is returning to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to complete her third-year internship in objects conservation.
