Department Library
In the conservation science laboratories, students have access to the wide range of analytical and chemical instrumentation and tools employed by conservators to study artists' materials, as well as historic and new materials for conservation.
The department also subscribes to dozens of professional magazines, journals, and newspapers along with a significant holding of past publications for research and study. Many of our texts are one of a kind or out of print and cover an enormous range of conservation and conservation-related topics. The collection is computerized and is fully searchable with an online library database.
The library also serves as a place where students can go to study and relax and houses an office for visiting faculty.
