Annika Blake-Howland

Annika is originally from Yarmouth, Maine and earned a B.A. in art history from Simmons College in Boston where she was a gallery assistant at the Trustman Art Gallery. She gained pre-program experience in Williamsburg, Virginia where she was a conservation technician at Colonial Williamsburg and an intern at the private practice Curtis Fine Art Conservation. Annika also completed pre-program internships in Boston at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in objects conservation and the Museum of Fine Arts in furniture conservation. Before starting her third year internship in objects conservation at the Metropolitan Museum of Art this fall, she spent her summer at the Indianapolis Museum of Art focusing on conservation science and modern materials.
