Kaela Nurmi
Kaela (she/her/hers) spent time in Washington D.C. where she interned at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden and volunteered at the National Gallery of Art in addition to working as a conservation technician at Page Conservation before coming to Buffalo. She gained additional conservation experience in Seattle, Washington at the Museum of Pop Culture, the Museum of History and Industry, and Memoria Technica. Kaela earned a B.A. in art conservation from Scripps College in Claremont, California and spent a semester in Florence, Italy studying at Studio Art Centers International. Before heading to her third year internship in objects conservation at the Museum of Modern Art, she spent this past summer interning at Modern Art Conservation - a private practice in New York City.
