Abby attended Kansas State University where she earned a B.F.A. in painting in addition to spending a summer at the Lorenzo de’Medici International Institute in Florence, Italy. While in Kansas City, she was a pre-program conservation technician at Heugh-Edmondson Conservation Services and a sculpture technician in the conservation department at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Abby has also been involved with the American Institute for Conservation’s Emerging Conservation Professionals Network (ECPN) as a regional liaison for conservators in Kansas City. She is spending her third year as an intern in paper conservation at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C.
