Meredeth A. Lavelle, M.A.

Meredeth is the Director of Development for Arts, Art Conservation & Planned Giving in Buffalo State University's Office of Institutional Advancement, a role she began in July 2026. She continues to raise funds for the Art Conservation Department, leading grant development, alumni relations, and donor cultivation and stewardship, and she manages fellowship and scholarship funding for Art Conservation students.

Meredeth joined the Art Conservation Department in 2002 and served as its Program Manager through 2026. In that role, she managed the department's budget, endowments, and investment accounts; wrote, reported on, and supervised private foundation and federal grants; oversaw donations, donor relations, and fundraising campaigns; and administered the graduate fellowship budget. She also advised the alumni board, produced the department's publications, recruiting materials, website, and social media, planned events and conferences, taught grant writing to graduate students, and designed exhibits for SUNY's Albany offices, the Buffalo History Museum, and the Buffalo Museum of Science.
