Conservation Science Education Online: Inaugural Conference

Posted: March 3, 2022

Professor Aaron Shugar and Associate Professor Rebecca Ploeger of the Garman Art Conservation Department along with Dr. Alison Murray from Queen's University have been working on an online resource to aid cultural heritage science educators in teaching complex problems in the field. They were successful in securing Samuel H. Kress Foundation funding to host an inaugural conference that will be taking place virtually from June 14-16 2022. The conference is designed to allow international educators in the field of Cultural Heritage Science to showcase innovative teaching strategies, case studies, and laboratory exercises that they have found to be successful in their teaching, breaking boundaries in making science more relevant to students.

Detailed information about the conference and registration is on the Queen’s University Art History & Art Conservation Department website.
